CATIA MANUFACTURING is a comprehensive manufacturing course for those who have completed the Design Fundamentals course. We begin with a thorough overview of the manufacturing interface and approach which is common to all of the CATIA manufacturing workbenches. We cover 2 ½ axis Prismatic Machining which includes drilling, tapping, pocketing, etc. We then move onto 3 axis surface machining and cover numerous machining strategies for complex surfaces. We complete the course with multi-axis machining which covers advanced topics such as flank contouring. Students are encouraged to bring in a model of their work which they can use, time permitting during the class, to supplement the extensive examples in the course materials.
