CURRICULUM

CATIA V5 or V6 FUNDAMENTALS
Students will be introduced to the CATIA V5 or V6 fundamental mechanical design concepts and its interface. They will learn the concept of sketch-based features, the management of parts through an assembly and how to generate standard views from this assembly.

CATIA V5 COMPOSITES
Students will learn how to cover the engineering to manufacturing design process of high quality composite parts.

 


CATIA V5 ANALYSIS
Students will learn how to use the main tools for structural analysis on a single part or on an assembly by performing static analysis using finite elements method.

 


CATIA V5 ADVANCED DESIGN AND SURFACING
Students will learn advanced product design and surfacing techniques. This will range from creation of basic and advanced wireframe geometry to analysis and repair to design and management of contextual parts, to name a few.

ENOVIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE COLLABORATIVE LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT
ENOVIA, with the advent of the V6 platform, has become a tightly integrated CAD/PLM product.
This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of data management in ENOVIA’s collaborative environment.
Some of its objectives are creating new CATIA V6 product structures in ENOVIA, manage changes in the product structure, collaborate with Engineeing BOM and manage documents.

 


CATIA V5 DATA MANAGEMENT IN ENOVIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE
In this class we address the scenario where a company chooses ENOVIA as its PLM tool, but decides to keep using CATIA V5 as its design software.
You will be taught how to store and retrieve CATIA V5 files in ENOVIA, review and release CAD models, modify existing designs and create new revisions, explore V5 data from the ENOVIA web interface etc…
