Software Developer

Mecanica Solutions is looking for a software developer to work on the server side of its 360 Enterprise Software suite of product and business lifecycle solutions. The candidate should ideally possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other related discipline.

SKILLS:

• Technologies: C#, SQL Server, XML, LINQ, Visual Studio 2010.
• Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming.
• Experience in developing new functionalities and implementing these new functionalities.
• A good knowledge of Java and Netbeans would be an asset.
• Experience with recognized (or: known?) processes/methodologies.
• Knowledge of IIS, HTML, ASP.NET would be an asset.
• 5 years or more of relevant experience in software development.
• 2 years or more of experience in .NET development.
• Knowledge of web services would be an asset.
• Knowledge of Team Foundation Server would be an asset.
• A strong sense of resourcefulness and initiative, and a well developed sense of team spirit.
• A good command of spoken and written English and French.

Software QA Tester

Mecanica Solutions is looking to hire a QA tester to work on its 360 Enterprise Software suite of product and business lifecycle solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other IT related fields, and a good understanding of Java and HTML.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java/JUnit base software testing scripts within a proprietary framework.
• Write, execute, and maintain automation test cases and related artifacts (code, scripts, inputs, expected results).
• Develop and expand test plans used for automation development.
• Develop any new functionalities for various components of the automation framework as required.
• Collaborate with the development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases , Test Stubs , Drivers and other Development test objects.
• Write efficient, easy to follow documentation for all tools, scripts and processes.
• Write unit tests for automation framework components.
• Train other departments on the use of custom developed tools and automation scripts.
• Participate in code reviews and discussions concerning automated test components.
• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and any other project documentation to guarantee the highest possible quality of the products and tests to be developed; i.e. perform manual static testing.
• Perform manual regression testing.

Java Developer

Mecanica Solutions is looking for a Java GUI developer with a minimum of 3 years of Java GUI experience with a background in software/computer engineering or computer science to work on its 360 Enterprise Software suite of product and business lifecycle solutions. As much of the work involves the Project Management module of the software, the ideal candidate should possess some knowledge of project management principles.

SKILLS

• 3 years or more Java GUI experience.
• Knowledge of the Java Swing toolkit is essential.
• Experience in the development of  project management software an asset.
• A good understanding of the client-server model.
• Knowledge of PLM systems is an asset.
• Ability to work successfully within a team environment.

As many of the modules involve engineering principles, the ideal candidate would have a background in mechanical engineering or a related field.

• 3 years or more Java development experience.
• Experience in the development of PLM systems.
• A background in mechanical engineering is an asset, as well as a background in computer science or software/computer engineering.
